In the Spring of 2016, Doug and I took a cruise around the British Isles. A lifelong dream come true for me. One evening, we were relaxing in our room onboard the ship, reading and checking emails on our laptops. For some reason, I came across the website for the Iowa Animal Rescue League. I looked at the dogs that were available and then I clicked on cats. There on the first page of the cat section was a photo of an adorable two year old gray tabby cat with bright green eyes. His name then was “Fluffy”! I turned it around to show my cat-lover-husband and asked him how he liked Fluffy. He replied, “oh, I love him”!
Would you believe we flew home from London a few days later and drove directly to the ARL-Iowa?! Fluffy was still there thankfully. He was in sick bay with a little kitty cold at that time. They gave us the medicine for him and we took him home. Of course the next day we took him to the veterinarian who examined him thoroughly and proclaimed him a healthy boy. He was over his cold a couple of days later and, thankfully, has been healthy since. Doug named him Tiger. I confess I’m really a dog-lover but I love this big boy cat.
Tiger. So happy to be rescued and in his forever home.
Oh, Dad. Thanks for adopting me!
If I fits, I sits.
Mom loves me. I know she does. I’ll just help her knit.
